XACTMachining represents a consortium of manufacturers and an engineering firm that I have worked with over the past 20+ years, primarily in support of their ISO and AS9100 management systems. They represent the best of the best in terms of compliance with the standard, customer focus, product quality and on-time delivery. These suppliers were developed to provide outsource options to some of my larger first and second tier companies, mostly in aerospace, space and defense. Some are also medical device registered (IS0 13485). Several have design in their scope. We interface, as needed, to generate sales and provide, as desired, support. Otherwise, your relationship is direct with the supplier. They get added to your Approved Supplier List, they directly handle quotes and contracts and any engineering or quality concerns.
